Change of life

With an innocent look at life, we realize that it isn’t perfect; sometimes it breaks, cracks, or twists. But whenever we encounter an event that takes us out of our comfort zone, the universe gives us tools to move forward. The present is a gift, which is why it’s called “the present,” and sometimes it doesn’t come packaged the way we’d like. In a naive way, my concept or tool is the ladder. The ladder is an artifact (made with art) that allows us to reach a level we normally can’t reach. The ladder represents that opportunity, that window of hope, not only material or physical but also emotional and spiritual. Every time life presents you with a ladder, it can take any form. A ladder can be a phone call from your brother, a tender kiss in the middle of the day, or a loan from a friend. The key is to be able to identify those ladders and realize that we can always climb and move forward
