Biography
Nacida en Polonia en 1974, Magdalena Morey completó diez años de formación artística académica en Lublin, donde obtuvo un Diploma en Textiles y un Máster en Pintura.
Su carrera profesional se ha visto enriquecida por su vida en diversos países europeos: se trasladó de Polonia a Cambridge en 2005, residió en Suiza y Madrid, y actualmente vive en Asturias, en el norte de España, donde desarrolla su práctica artística profesional.
La obra de Magdalena se caracteriza por la exploración de la energía y el ritmo de los seres vivos.
La artista aborda tanto sus paisajes abstractos como sus figuras como procesos dinámicos y evolutivos en lugar de sujetos estáticos.
Su proceso técnico consiste en la creación de texturas ricas mediante la superposición de acrílicos, pasteles y pan de oro.
Un elemento distintivo de su estilo es el uso de líneas finas y enérgicas que reflejan su formación textil y simbolizan la interconexión entre sus sujetos y el entorno.

Born in Poland in 1974, Magdalena Morey completed ten years of formal art education in Lublin, where she earned a Diploma in Textiles and a Masters degree in Painting.
Her career has been shaped by her experiences living across Europe, moving from Poland to Cambridge in 2005, then to Switzerland, and later to Madrid.
She is now based in the Asturias region of northern Spain, where she continues her professional practice.
Magdalena’s work is characterised by an exploration of the energy and rhythm found in living things.
She treats both her abstract landscapes and figures as dynamic, unfolding events rather than static subjects.
