James Abbadon

Biogprahy
James Abaddon is the artistic alter ego of José Carrasco, a creative voice born from the sea, rust, and the scars of time. His work transitions between sculpture, collage, altered photography, and drawing, where material is not only a medium but a living memory. Many of his paintings and sculptures emerge from fragments collected on the beaches of Menorca: marine ropes, shipwrecks, eroded wood, forgotten objects. These elements, transformed by time and the environment, are rescued by Abaddon and transformed into pieces that evoke the mystery of what has lived and what remains. Each work functions as a great emotional fossil: a trace frozen in time, where layers of history, loss, and weathered beauty settle. James Abaddon doesn’t represent the world: he erodes it, transforms it, and retells it with a raw and poetic sensibility.
