HAPPY SCULPTURES
Corinne was born in 1973 in Poitiers and lives in Albi, in the south of France. She remembers her years in Leicester (UK) when she had the revelation of her life during a visit to the house of Chatsworth, she discovered the work of Elisabeth Frink. Her emotion was so strong when she saw the bronze sculptures running through the English grass that he makes the decision to dedicate her life to sculpture.
In 2013, she had a terrible car accident and miraculously survived. she saves her arm thanks to grafts from his leg thigh. When you go through hard times in life, you change your outlook: either you look for joy in the depths of your being, or you continue to complain about your misfortune. Corinne is a fighter, a survivor, inspired perhaps by the serenity of Buddhist monks. Her artistic search speaks of our luminous part, of our deep joy. She is amazed by Asian eyes, and Corinne thinks that only by being somewhat astonished, one seeks joy in oneself. The sculptures represent the positive that we all have and try to cultivate. Nurturing the present moment, not thinking about the future or the past, doing things in conscience is a daily job. For Corinne, her material is the earth that allows her spontaneity and deposits all the emotions and energies that her encounters and her travels through Asia give her. Her sculptures are like instant photographs; They represent the wisdom of our modern times and those who look at them are quickly seduced by those smiles, those communicative laughter.
She exhibits in Europe and her works are in private collections all over the world. Her first public sculpture can be seen in Montauban, a monumental Heracles made in homage to Antoine Bourdelle.
